Transitional Update: Good and Bad

Hey folks!

I am still working toward my goals, but without a convenient hotspot to surf your delicious blogs. I will, however, make time when I can to come here to my office away from the wild(bar) to give you some info of where I'm at to making it back to being a regular visitor and comment-giver.

I have been accepted for financial aid for college. This is good news. The bad news is that the time had expired for the current session, and I'll be enrolling for the fall semester.  This can  work in my favor, as I can study up and hopefully make a great grade on the entrance test and not need to take any of my basics. I'll be going for a specialized degree, so any general classes will  muck up my thought processes.

I am still homeless. This is bad news. I couch-surf,so I have yet to spend a single night in the rain. The good news on this front is that I've buckled and have placed my name in the hat for state-funded assistance. I have worked many years in my life, and put in taxes for programs that I have never taken advantage of, so now it's time for me to grab and pull Uncle Sam's finger. I hope he doesn't poot. What am I saying? I really hope he rips a loud one, so we can laugh until our sides hurt.

I am constantly hungry. No matter what I eat, it is not enough. This is bad for anyone who cooks for me or lets me eat with them. I swear I could give all those skinny champion eaters a run for their money. Wait, who am I to call anyone skinny? I could pass for a lightpost if I had brighter colored hair.

Due to the copious amounts of offline time that I've had recently, I've found myself working a lot more on my art and writing. I'll give you a couple of graphics that I have designed, but you'll have to wait on the wild short story I'm penning(yet unfinished).

Until next time, don't forget to put the Doom in Randoom!

  1. Things are slowly falling into place, just watch it get there. And help it get there too, of course.

  2. Hope things get better for you soon! College is always a good start!

  3. I just read where one of those monster eaters ate 13 grilled cheeses sandwiches at South by Southwest in Austin. Time to do it was 1 minute!

Considering your status, it would appear you are digging yourself from the the proverbial hole. THAT is great news. In time, you will look back and smile about the experience.

  4. About the part where you can't stop eating. I guess we are similar on that regard. It's hard to resist good food.

Also, I hope they accept your application for stat-funded assistance. That would be one hell of a good news.

  5. Hopefully things pick up a bit faster for you, as couch surfing and being a lamp post isn't much fun...haha...nice graphics too.

  6. Man I hope you can get state help. Some people don't like going for it but occasionally it's necessary. In other good news sides of things, I think I have a way to record a Skype call all proper like so when you are all settled and such we can do that interview and talk our asses off for hours. Then make people listen to it.

  10. Hang in there. Those years pushing through school suck sometimes, but it pays off.

  11. I fully realize how immature I am when I laugh my head off at sentences like these:

"I hope he doesn't poot. What am I saying? I really hope he rips a loud one, so we can laugh until our sides hurt."

And so sorry you aren't getting enough to eat! That's just sad! Hope everything sorts out soon so that you can be comfortably lodged with plenty of food at your command. And by the way, neat artwork!

  12. I hope you sort out your homing situation soon, but excellent news about college and yes, sometimes we all need a little help. It's good that you've finally been able to ask for some.

    Take care mate.

  15. Hey, buddy-bear!

Well done getting funding! I applied too, when I went to college, but I was politely told to fuck right off, as the program did not include 'whites'! Racist bastards!

Keeping fingers crossed that you get the state funding, too! Our government doesn't give a crap about it's poor. As long as they have their luxury vehicles and holiday homes in the south of France, they don't give a stuff about Joe Beggar! Nice, eh?! I hate this country!

You're skinny? You bitch! Kidding! Being a fat chick sucks major balls! Hope the rest of this week is good to you. *Hugz* :)

  16. Good luck with the finansial aid, and with college! Studying up on your subject seems like a briliant idea! I wish you the best of luck on that front!

As for eating, have you tried eating specific food? Nothing fills me up like tuna! Sometimes peoples bodies need specific nutrents, and if you don't get them your body will just keep making you hungery!! (or if your really dehydrated your body might mistake that for hunger. So drink lots of free tap water!)
