The Utility of The Headbang

Ever since cavemen have jammed with hollow tubes and stones, his fellow listener has been headbanging. It wouldn't surprise me if science 'discovers' that we head-bang in the womb.

When first thought of, the headbang recalls memories of rocking out to some heavy music. Although that is a very powerful statement to give to a band and the surrounding audience, it is not the only use for the fast bobbing motion of the crainium upon the neck, no.

 Here are a few others:

1. Eco Friendly Headbang- Instead of using a towel or using a blow dryer, just head-bang your locks until dry. I admit that it takes a while, but once the dizziness wears off, you can take pride in that you're saving the earth and having a damned good time doing it.

2. Awkward Silence Breaker- Not many moves can pull this off with such grace as a well timed head-bang in the starting moments of an awkward silence.

3. Saying 'No' Without Saying "No"- If you happen to be one of the types of people who others don't take 'no' for an answer from, then bashing your melon into thin air is a way to get them to see it your way.

4. Avoiding Fights- As a student of non-violence, many a violent looking move has allowed me to be spared physical contest. Once they see you jamming your head with such anger to invisible music, some opponents retreat in thoughts of how fortunate they were to not catch your contagious craziness.

Whatever you do, make sure to add a little head-bang to it. It is the exclaimation point of mannerisms!

  5. Again I'm left wondering why this makes so much sense. If it's possibly to headbang in the womb then either I did, or my children will.

  9. Baha I sometimes do the eco-friendly headbang. I'm not going to lie I didn't do it until it was completely dry but it was effective when keeping the knots away and adding volume.
